The Nursery is owned by Sara McLellan, a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife.  She is also a parent of a young child, and understands the needs of parents and children.  Sara oversees the management of both nurseries and is very involved in the day-to-day running of them.  Sara is supernumerary, therefore available to talk to parents and to ensure that the nursery is well organised, happy and relaxed.

A qualified member of staff runs each room in the nursery.  All staff have gained the Paediatric First Aid certificate, Safeguarding Children and various other qualifications to enhance their knowledge.   

We occasionally have students from local colleges attending the nursery for their placements.  These students are studying for a qualification in childcare and are observed throughout their placement.

We have an experienced chef who plans delicious, nutritionally balanced meals for the children.  Special diets are also catered for.  A 4-weekly menu is displayed on the Parent’s Notice Board.

The manager of Mile Oak branch is Vicki, who has worked here since 2001.  She has undertaken further training to keep her knowledge up-to-date.
